If any of you have ever used FruityLoops 3, you'll recognize the melody in this song. It's from the demo loop that all new users would automatically see when they started up the program. I liked the melody, so I compiled it into a song, instead of leaving it just as a loop.

The melody used in this song is from a short tutorial loop in FruityLoops 3 that demonstrated how to use the gating technique. As with "The White Shadow", I felt this melody should not stay just as a loop.

Here's where it started. This was the first full-fledged song that I've ever created. If some of you find the melody to sound familiar, it's because it's derived from a Sonic the Hedgehog game (I forget which one). I was just getting used to FruityLoops (either a late version 2 or early version 3) at this time. I used the default percussion, learned how to use the "playlist" (sequencer) and threw in some cheesy unmodified synths. Ah, the memories...
